The Hunt

My name is Julia Jack I am 16 years old. One day Professor Shuckle my science teacher  asked me and my friend Taylor to come on a hunt in the jungle. On the morning of the hunt we met at school Professor drove us there. We were half way there when Professor told us what we were looking for, a purple boa constrictor. Taylor heard something we crept closer to check it out it was crocodile twisted in some vines. We tried to free him it was difficult but we did it. It was dark so we went home.

    What a day for Julia and Taylor. I wonder how you could use more powerful language to add interest into your story. Also, make sure every word or sentence brings meaning to the story. For example I think you could start your story with you second sentence and we wouldn't miss the part about her age as it does not matter to the story.

                                                                            Fright Night   We all gasped at what we saw in front of us, we had just entered fright night. First on our list was to visit the haunted house. I didn't open my eyes the whole time. I felt a flame swimming up toward my mouth I was about to hurl but I kept it in because I was wearing my favorite white blouse and wanted to keep it white. As we walked in a huddle toward the exit, I ran out and celebrated with joy jumping up and down, I made it out alive. I am certainly not coming back tomorrow.

The Bug            Preparing a picnic in the kitchen for picnic for my sister and I, Suddenly, I heard a scream coming from the backyard. I rushed outside, my sister was curled up on the blanket. "What happened." I asked. " i-i-it came down the drainpipe."she whimpered. "What did." "That" I looked down and in surprise, I saw a huge cockroach, Suddenly it disappeared. "Where did it go." I asked.  "I don't know." she muttered. "There it is."  "Ahhh" she screamed "Don't touch it." "Why not" I wondered and as I brushed my fingers my along its back I knew I had made an mistake.
